Gillian Rubinstein

Well-regarded and prize-winning Australian author and playwright. Was born in England in 1942 and spent her childhood in England and Nigeria, before moving to Australia. Studied at Oxford and worked as a film critic and editor before becoming a writer. Has written many children's stories of different themes including, fantasy/sci-fi and animal stories. Has also written some adult novels under the name of Lian Hearne. As far as I know has only written three pony books however.

Collectors info:
Both Pure Chance and Flashback were published in Australia and the UK. Both are easy to get hold of in those countries and also in America. Peanut the Pony Rat seems only to have been published in the UK. It is the hardest one of the three to find but still not really rare and is usually low cost.
